WebQuest Page - a Web Quest is an internet-based problem solving activity for your students. It poses an educational question, provides a framework for researching the topic and developing a response to the question, and points students in the direction of high quality internet resources. This site will help you write your own or access one that has already been created. |

| Xpeditions Atlas - from National Geographic - an excellent resource of printable maps. Also click on "Lesson Plans" to see access lessons using this resource. Education Place Outline Maps - a resource for basic outline maps that can be printed or downloaded for use in your classroom. The Snaith Primary School website - The teachers at this school in the United Kingdom have created their own websites on social studies (and science!) topics such as the Vikings, Ancient Egypt, Farms, Gardens. There are pages with great images and text readable by primary kids. There are also some projects that introduce kids to the idea of research. For instance, they can look at pictures of various beach resorts and decide which one they'd most like to visit, then explain why. There are also some fun activities, like magnet poetry. |
