Carl Cozier Site Council

The Carl Cozier Council is an elected decision-making body responsible for strategic and annual school planning. There are four teachers, one classified staff member, two parents, the principal and a community representative on the council. The council meets the first Monday of each month at 4:00 p.m. The meetings are open to any interested observers. Forms are available in the office to get time on the council's meeting agenda. Activities of the Site Council

Train new officers and members. Celebrate accomplishments. Plan yearly calendar. Determine yearly budget spending. Evaluate proposed programs. Report to the school board on school progress. Participate in school improvement committees. Facilitate handbook revisions. Examine assessment data and make recommendations. Keep current on district policy and procedure. Plan curriculum activities. Plan parent involvement. Train parents as reading coaches. Provide annual school performance report.
